Robbie Rebekah Gring spent most of her professional life helping organizations discover who they are, where they are going and how to move people to action.

Then life gave her a very different assignment.

Heartbreak, financial loss, the crumbling of a 20-year marriage, housing uncertainty and 15 moves in six years brought Robbie to what she calls “wit’s end corner”—a place where professional competence, determination and polished answers could no longer fix what hurt.

So the preacher’s daughter who had known about God since childhood learned what it meant to depend upon Him.

She surrendered.

And God met her there.

The painful chapters Robbie would never have chosen became the experiences that deepened her compassion and eventually shaped her ministry. Today, she brings heart, humor and hard-won wisdom to honest conversations about faith, heartbreak, purpose and those seasons when life feels like “it’s not supposed to be this way.”

Her signature gift remains the same one she has used throughout more than four decades as a strategist and consultant:

Today, she also connects people with one another—creating room to talk about things we often hide—and points hurting hearts toward the hope and peace she has found through dependence on Jesus Christ.

As the author of The Intentional Journey: A Playbook for Living a Life of Purpose, Robbie especially enjoys encouraging young adults searching for direction and people navigating life’s unexpected detours.

At 70, she is less interested in accomplishments than in using whatever God has placed in her hands to leave lives better.

Her message is simple:

No chapter of your story has to be wasted when you place it in God’s hands.

Robbie doesn’t speak because she has life figured out.

She speaks because she knows what it is to reach the end of herself—and discover that God was there.
